Flexible packaging firm Uflex has unveiled new aseptic filling machine, Asepto Smart 78, at this year’s PackEx India event.
The event has been conducted from 21 to 23 August in New Delhi.
The new advanced filling machine has a packaging capacity of 7,800 packages per hour for pack sizes ranging from 100 ml, 125 ml, 160 ml and 200 ml slim packs.
Claimed to be the first of its kind aseptic packaging machine, Asepto Smart 78 features six layered packaging design and made by using paperboard, aluminium, and poly-ethylene to protect the freshness and nutritional value of the products.
Other features of the machine include advanced integration with PLC, less electronic parts and advanced speed limits.
According to Uflex, Asepto Smart 78 machine includes special tools for operation and maintenance.
Uflex new business initiative president and CEO Ashwani Kumar Sharma said: “Brand Asepto, is the first locally manufactured product that has been developed keeping in mind the evolving needs of our customers promising - Preservation, Protection, and Promotion of products.
“The machine has been designed to cater to address this growing demand and further encourage the consumption of products that not only are fresh but, also are convenient and have an optimal shelf life.”
Uflex also produces bi-axially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) film, Flexpet F-PGB-12, which is a 2 micron super barrier polyester film that will offer very high barrier to oxygen.
Based in Noida, Uflex provides aseptic liquid carton packaging solutions for customers in the juice, dairy and alcoholic beverage sectors.
With operations in around 140 countries, the company has manufacturing facilities in India, UAE, Mexico, Poland, Egypt and the US.
