Packaging and tubing materials manufacturer Tekni-Plex Europe has announced that the company’s Italian subsidiary has commenced operations at a newly centralized plant in Gaggiano, Milan.
According to the company, the investment was made mandatory owing to growing demands in several emerging markets.
Dubbed ORO (One-Roof Operation) project, the Gaggiano facility mainly manufactures rubber for the company's dispensing business.
The facility adjoins two existing facilities, combining the pair into one plant that offers enough space for the immediate as well as foreseeable future.
Recently the Gaggiano plant developed clean rubber compounds for use in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food applications.
Tekni-Plexa also has its production facilities in Erembodegem, Belgium and in Schaumburg and manufactures rubber inner gaskets for aerosol dispenser valves.
