Ohio-based Pro Mach's division Federal Mfg has launched a new hygienic pressure/gravity filling machine for food applications such as sauces, syrups, edible oils, and other viscous foods and non-viscous foods.
According to Federal, the machine has the capacity to fill up to 300 bottles per minute.
When compared to other pressure/gravity filling machines, the new machine uses a sanitary overfill bowl that collects any overflowing product that can be used later without reprocessing, thus reducing waste, time and energy for the companies.
The over flown products reside in a clean stainless steel overflow bowl, which is attached to the machine.
Products from this tank can be pumped back into the filler bowl for reuse with any treatment.
Federal Mfg sales and marketing vice president Mike Collins said the company saw a real need in the food industry for a filling solution designed specifically for sanitary operation.
"The first unit is already at a customer's plant, bottling hot sauce and performing to expectations," Collins added.
Before the release of this machine, the viscous food products were using the same filling technology used by non-viscous products such as household chemicals, petroleum products and paints.
Pro Mach provides integrated packaging and processing products and solutions such as packaging and processing equipment, PMMI certified training, installation, parts, and service in bottling & capping, primary packaging, flexible packaging, material handling, identification & tracking, and end of line packaging.
