Zenith Global Logistics is adding 16 trucks to the fleet at its warehouse and distribution hub here.
The fleet expansion, the specialized furniture carrier's fourth in as many years, is in response to increased demand in the California region, the company said.
"Over the past several months, we've witnessed an increase in freight moving in and through our Riverside warehouse and hub," said Jack Hawn, president and CEO. "This investment in additional trucks will allow us to address our customers need for efficient delivery of outbound product in that area."
He said the new trucks are 2015 Freightliner Cascadia day cabs that are equipped with automatic transmission to reduce driver fatigue and distraction. Plus, the trucks comply with the most recent diesel truck regulations issued by the California Environmental Protection Agency's Air Resources Board.
In addition to the Riverside hub, Zenith has facilities in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia. The company also provides home delivery services through a network of company-owned delivery operations and local market providers.
