Roberto Romero Samano, VP – Commercial of Vitro’s Glass Containers business unit, declared: “It gives us great satisfaction to be among the 54 winners and to once again be recognized this year before the presence of the distinguished delegates of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). This confirms our commitment to the design and production of original glass containers which exceed our client’s expectations, as is the case of the DIVINISSIMA No. 1 glass container. It had great acceptance by Latin American women and the Hispanic communities around the world, turning it into the most emblematic product of the ANGELISSIMA make-up and skin care line.”

During the award ceremony held at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park in Australia, Tom Schneider, President of the WPO, expressed his satisfaction with the participant’s high level of creativity and competition and shared: “It is not only extremely important to acknowledge today’s winners but also all of those who participated and trusted the quality and design of the products. All together they represent the design and global technology’s elite in the industry of containers and packaging.”

On the other hand, Romero commented on the container’s design: “Jewelry and the idea of gifts and sophistication were the inspiration for this design. The purpose was to define the attributes of women and capture them in an object which may stand as a constant reminder of a gift. Clearly its design was thought out targeting sophisticated women between the ages of 35 and 50 and was immediately accepted.”

The DIVINISSIMA No. 1 container had already been recognized by the Mexican Container and Packaging Organization as the best fragrance design made in Mexico. It received the “Envase Estelar 2013” award not only as a result of its excellent standards on creativity, innovation and technology but also because it represents a sustainable, attractive and easy to use option for consumers.

Likewise, it was recently recognized in the Polish Magazine “Packaging Polska” as one of the most innovative containers in the cosmetics category because it perfectly combines the distribution of the glass with the engravings achieving a diamond-like shape container. The harmony of the visual beauty together with the subtle fragrance delivers a successful, luxurious and elegant product.

Like every year, the products underwent strict evaluation processes. The jury was made up by international experts who compared photographs and descriptions of the different glass containers, taking into consideration the contents as well. The DIVINISSIMA No.1 container was selected from the Health and Beauty category due to the following characteristics: Graphic Design, Innovation, Product Quality, Environment Compatibility, Conservation and Protection of the content, Material Efficiency, Creativity in Production and Recycling Features, among others.
