Aseptic form fill seal machinery supplier BencoPack has installed a new fully aseptic line furnished with an Integrated Sleeve Applicator (ISA) for the packaging of Italian beverage company Fonti di Vinadio’s new ice-tea range of drinks, Santhé.
The new packaging line will produce 200ml thermoformed single serve cups in 2x2 or 2x3 multipacks. The products, which can be consumed through an attached straw or from the cup directly by pealing back the lid, will be available in tea infusion flavors such as lemon, peach and green tea.
According to ferret.com.au, the labels will be heat shrinked to the walls of the cup with the shrink-sleeve process, allowing for customized shapes and improved shelf appearance enabling ISA to enhance the appearance of the products.
The machine can be pre-sterilized and kept in sterile conditions by using steam and hydrogen peroxide sprays and the packaging materials, with an overpressure of sterile air are also sterilized inside a tunnel.
