Andritz Secured a Contract From The Finnish Pulp and Stora Enso

International technology group Andritz has secured a contract from the Finnish pulp and paper manufacturer Stora Enso to deliver equipment for modernization of the company's fiberline.

The new equipment will be deployed at Stora Enso's Oulu mill in Finland.

With the modernization project, the pulp manufacturer expects to improve operational cost efficiency by increasing energy efficiency and reducing chemical usage.

The modernized plant will begin its operations in two phases, which are scheduled to commence from 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Under the deal, Andritz will supply a cooking upgrade with a new Help pre-steaming chip silo and a new bleaching stage with a drum displacer washer.

The Oulu mill currently has an annual production capacity of 1,125,000t of coated wood-free paper and 370,000t of long-fiber pulp.
