Faerch Plast in the UK has announced the development of a new range of dual ovenable ‘Aluminium-Look’ crystalline polyethylene terephthalate (CPET) containers for the ready to cook sector.
The Aluminium Look containers are available in the complete CPET range of styles and single and multi-compartment sizes for on-shelf impact.
Faerch Plast managing director Joe Iannidinardo said the new range is another example of the business pushing technical boundaries to help maintain its edge in the food industry and build further on its share of the ready meal market.
"CPET trays account for more than 80 per cent of what Faerch Plast sells in the UK," Iannidinardo said.
The trays feature a wide temperature tolerance from -4F degrees to 430F degrees for freezer-to-oven or microwave convenience and eliminate negative effects on food flavor and aroma.
"The new process also opens up the possibility to develop other colours such as Gold, Bronze and Copper in the future," Iannidinardo concluded.
