One Harvest Has Unveiled a Vacuum Packed Line for Ready-to-Eat, Fresh Baby Beetroot

One Harvest, packed salad manufacturer and fruit marketer, has unveiled a vacuum packed line for ready-to-eat, fresh baby beetroot named Love Beets.

Love Beets can be eaten once they are peeled and freshly cooked in their own juices, with no added sugar or salt, on a burger, or as the base of a fresh and healthy dip/juice, according to freshplaza.com.

OneHarvest's Love Beets marketing manager Helen Warren said research showed that Australians love the taste of fresh beetroot and they want to cook with it.

"LOVE BEETS solves all of those problems for them - it is convenient, easy and no-mess," added Warren.

According to the company, the value of the canned market for beetroot in Australia is approximately $43m per year.

Love Beets are sold in the fresh food section at over 1400 stores across Australia, including Coles, IGA, Aldi, Thomas Dux and quality greengrocers.
