Diet Coke, manufactured by Coca-Cola has announced plans to update its packaging by switching to new packaging design introduced last fall, beginning 1 September 2012.
The new design features a section of the Diet Coke logo, cropped to feature the 'D' and the 'k' and the can retains the color scheme, red and black on a silver background.
Created by San Francisco-based agency Turner Duckworth, the design goes hand in hand with the brand's efforts to align itself with the fashion community.
A T-shirt featuring the cropped logo designed by a student Gustavo from the Alonso Miami International University of Art and Design will be on sale in Target stores as part of Diet Coke's Young Designer Challenge.
