Axon, a Pro Mach brand, will unveil the Aurora SS mandrel-style shrink film applicator at the 2013 International Dairy Show scheduled to be held during 3 to 6 November 2013 in the US.
The Aurora SS is said to be capable of applying labels, tamper evident bands and multipacks with speeds of about 300BPM with a film layflat width range of 50mm to 200mm.
The applicator features four-by-four-inch tubular cantilevered frame for cleanup and maintenance.
According to the company, a polycarbonate enclosure with Category 3 Safety Interlock system enables complete visibility of the container and film path.
Axon sales director Ed Farley said the Aurora SS is suitable for the dairy industry.
"It's clean, cantilevered design and heavy duty stainless steel tubular body ensures durability and easy maintenance, plus all the expected benefits of our Aurora Series' automation and controls platform," Farley added.
The machine features Packaging Machinery Language (PackML), modular EtherNet/IP control platform from Rockwell Automation, recipe functionality, bilingual operation and electric height adjustment.
