White cartonboard Algro Design was selected for the carton to package its curved bottle with a brushed metal surface. The packaging is made of white paperboard with structural embossing, featuring the Strellson plectrum logo in black on a red background with a red rubber band as the closure on the outside.
The design was drafted by agency Peter Schmidt Group and the product was manufactured by M?urer & Wirtz Prestige. Carl Edelmann was responsible for the packaging design and production.
On the board, Udo Kruizenga, packaging manager for print at M?urer & Wirtz (M&W), said: "There simply isn't a whiter white on the market at present. A good packaging solution must guarantee 100% product protection, even with an unconventional packaging solution such as created here with our partners for Loaded."
According to Sappi, the packaging needed to convey "masculinity and robustness", which is why M&W opted for the special Algro Duo variant with a grammage of 450gsm.
