US-based ScriptPro has signed distribution and co-marketing agreement with packaging solutions provider TCGRx for adherence packaging technologies.
As part of the deal, ScriptPro will provide TCGRx's adherence packaging technologies to retail pharmacies located throughout the US.
Both the companies will also jointly provide retail and ambulatory pharmacies with fully integrated hardware and software solutions.
ScriptPro CEO Mike Coughlin said the company has an increasing number of requests to include integrated adherence packaging technology in its product line.
"ScriptPro's pharmacy management system has been successfully integrated with TCGRx pouch packaging machines at initial sites and both of our companies see important opportunities to build on these models," Coughlin added.
TCGRx CEO Duane Chudy said the company clearly dominates the retail and ambulatory pharmacy automation market.
"Also, ScriptPro's highly advanced pharmacy management system has been very effective in interfacing with TCGRx robots, so we are now integrating the physical inventory management storage units that TCGRx has become known for with the overall inventory management processes built into ScriptPro software," Chudy added.
With headquarters in Mission, Kansas, ScriptPro offers robotics-based pharmacy management and workflow systems to retail and ambulatory pharmacies.
TCGRx, which is headquartered in Powers Lake of Wisconsin, provides tablet or capsule pouch packaging systems and inventory management automation for long-term care pharmacies. The company has a strong presence in pharmacy markets throughout the US and Canada.
