Metso is all set to supply an OptiConcept M containerboard production line for Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock’s Pinghu site in Zhejiang Province in China, as part of a contract.
Expected to start-up in 2014, the new production line will produce containerboard grades out of 100% recycled raw materials.
As part of the contract, Metso will supply a complete OptiConcept M boardmaking line from headbox to reel with related air systems and chemical systems and the automation package will include dilution headbox controls.
The 5.65-m-wide machine PM 16 will have a production capacity of about 880t per day and the design speed is 1,100m/min. It will produce fluting grades out of recycled raw materials in the basis weight range of 70-120g/m2.
The OptiConcept M production line is expected to optimize the machine investment in line with the mill's capacity needs and ensures productivity at minimal operational cost.
Metso paper mills sales and marketing vice president Petri Paukkunen said the new line ordered by Zhejiang will be the fourth OptiConcept M-type production line to be supplied to Asia.
"This latest project introduces the newest member in the OptiConcept M family, widening Metso's offering to serve the narrower trim width of 5,650 mm," Paukkunen said.
According to Metso, the first line delivered was started up in China in December 2012.
China-based Zhejiang Jingxing Paper manufactures kraft liner board, white top linerboard, corrugated base paper, other special paper, corrugated cardboard as well as tissue paper.
