Budweiser has released a new summer packaging lineup of bottles and cans inspired by local breweries of the US.
This new packaging style, as per the brand owned by Anheuser-Busch, was inspired by 12 local breweries.
From now on 11 states will see their namesake on Budweiser bottles and cans as part of the summer packaging and will be available till the end of September.
The brand has been around in the US since 1876 and the new state packaging pays tribute to the 12 breweries that have relentlessly produced the classic lager.
The new packaging will include the names California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas and Virginia.
The centre medallion ‘AB’ monogram will also be replaced with state initials. ‘King of Beers’ will be replaced to include each respective state’s motto. "Anheuser-Busch Inc." will be replaced with each state’s nickname.
Budweiser stated that it will continue this celebration with its local breweries throughout the summer by hosting brewery open houses, where communities can experience local brands alongside local food, music and custom merchandise.
The beer brand will also be making its Clydesdales available at each brewery open house throughout this summer.
It will air unique radio spots in each market about local Budweiser brew masters and the brewery’s general managers. It will also present its first-ever "Budland" festival bringing together the best of LA's local music artists, fashion and food.
Budweiser vice president Ricardo Marques said: "Our new state bottles and cans celebrate the homes of our breweries and the communities that support them.
"Since 1876, Budweiser has been proudly brewed across America, and this summer, we're inviting local consumers to raise a cold one with us."
