Fiber-Based Packaging Paper Offering Is Increased by Stora Enso

Stora Enso Speciality Papers has expanded its MediaSet basis weight offering, owing to the increasing demand for fiber-based packaging based on renewable materials. The new paper is available in basis weights of 80, 90 and 100gsm.

According to the company, MediaSet has been developed for high-speed-converting especially and is optimized for the production of packaging wrappers such as confectionery, as well as for cans and jars labeling.

The one side coated paper provides various advantages to brand owners, printers, packers and fillers. Its high-white, glossy surface in conjunction with offset printability is said to support freshness emphasized product presentation at the Point of Sale (POS).

Stora Enso claims that the paper features good runnability and glue adhesion, which allow better speed in printing, converting, packaging and labeling lines, making the product an economical choice for packaging production and labeling.

Produced at Stora Enso Uetersen mill in Germany from sustainably produced virgin fibers, MediaSet is suitable for the production of food packaging.
