Gucci Announced The Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection

Essential shapes brought to life with Gucci’s uncompromisingly rigorous codes of luxury. The Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Collection takes its cue from the House’s heritage while marking a turning point.

“I felt the need to materialize the essence of Gucci. A longing for precision, clean lines with precious materials and a new color palette. This is glamour at its purest,” says Creative Director Frida Giannini.

The collection portrays a sophisticated woman who dresses to please herself rather than others. Her romantic femininity always has its way, even with clothes borrowed from the male wardrobe.

SILHOUETTE and MATERIALS
Daywear essentials. Boyish romanticism. Inspirational Sixties style icons. Geometric, form-fitting lines characterize the collection and collide with soft furs. Outfits with sartorial pants, tailored to the ankle, alternating with A-line mini dresses. The season’s fil rouge is leather – worn head to toe or as a detail.

Across unlined nappa shirts with the occasional ruches, dresses, pants, skirts, and outerwear. Stretch wool, angora, and mohair bring movement to boxy peacoats and overcoats with metal disk buttons.

Furs intersperse with the meticulous silhouette for an undeniably bourgeois style. Inside-out shearling, goat hair, beaver fur. The oversized t-shirt in pink mink. Maxi animalier designs on silk or pony skin for the trench, jacket, shirt with pants, and mini dress.

COLORS
Candy colors. Baby blue, cornflower, green, blush pink, yellow. Solid, powerful pastels. Together with camel, cognac, and supreme black. Across ready-to-wear and accessories.

EVENING
An evening cocktail. The embroidered mini dress replaces the gown. An abstract horsebit characterizes monochromatic black looks, accented by contrasting python boots. Followed by a game of hand-painted, smoky crystals that light up after dark. In leather or silk with leather detailing.

ACCESSORIES
Iconic. The Jackie crafted as never before in unlined calfskin with refined deconstruction. This bag’s symbolic metal piston closure becomes the protagonist of all shapes – totes and maxi totes, briefbags and the shoulder bag. In calfskin, python and crocodile.

The horsebit seals each shoe – boots and ankle boots with low heels for daywear. In colorful leather, python, and pony skin. For evening, high-heel boots in black shiny calfskin. Bracelets form a maxi horsebit beset with colorful, hand-painted crystals. Metal side inserts on large lenses.
