Pellet Production in Germany Was Down Year on Year by Roughly 9%

With a total of roughly 538,000t, pellet production in Germany in the third quarter of 2013 was down year on year by roughly 9%. After the German Energy Wood and Pellet Association (DEPV) had already determined that production in the second quarter was down year on year by 4%, cumulative pellet production for the first nine months of 2013 totalled roughly 1.656m m3, representing year-on-year decline of roughly 2%. The production increase of 11% achieved in the first quarter has therefore not been sufficient to compensate for the decreases in the subsequent two quarters.
