Plastic foodservice and custom thermoformed packaging solutions provider Fabri-Kal is investing $50m in developing a new manufacturing facility in Burley, Idaho.
As a part of the investment, the company will construct a new 100,000ft2 design and manufacturing facility which will expand its presence in plastics thermoforming and house initiatives.
Expected to be fully operational in fall 2015, the facility will create 50 new jobs and another 100 jobs in the next five years.
The building would aim for certifications from International Organization for Standardization (ISO), American Institute of Baking (AIB) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) within a year.

The company is focusing half of its operations on expanding the brand's footprint in plastics thermoforming and the other half on new, innovative product solutions utilising the new fiber material.
