DS Smith has completed the acquisition of North American packaging company Corrugated Container Corporation (CCC) for an undisclosed amount.
The CCC, which is a family-owned business, has around 190 employees across its four operations in Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.
The acquired facilities of CCC will help DS Smith to expand its box-making capacity, enabling to serve more customers in North America.
CCC is said to have a strong focus on high-quality and sustainable retail ready and display packaging.
DS Smith is expecting the deal to be earnings enhancing immediately and is consistent with the firm’s medium term financial targets.
DS Smith chief executive Miles Roberts said: “We are excited to complete and delighted to welcome CCC to DS Smith. I look forward to working with all our new colleagues.
“CCC’s strong reputation for quality and customer service will help us to accelerate growth in the region, offering world class products to many more customers.”
