An exclusive UBM-organised exhibition, the Southeast Asia Furniture & Interiors Import-Export Exhibition (SEAFIE) premieres this year at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The region’s first trade show of its kind, the much-anticipated fair is slated to run from 13 – 16 September 2013.
Aimed to serve as a platform for showcasing mid- to high-end international brands specialising in the production of home and office furniture, soft furnishings and interior design products, SEAFIE is estimated to draw at least 300 globally-positioned exhibitors and a visitorship of 20,000 buyers from across the world.
The four-day event is the brainchild of UBM, the same team behind the Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF), which boasts in-depth market knowledge and a 19-year proven track record. The company is the largest commercial organiser in China, India and Malaysia, with more than 150 industry shows under its belt.
Kuala Lumpur’s strategic location and excellent air and sea links renders the spot an ideal venue for a programme of such a magnitude. An exhibition highly relevant for furniture import and export across the ASEAN landscape, SEAFIE also complements other industry shows of notable repute such as Furniture China (the biggest furniture exposition worldwide), India’s Index Fairs as well as UK Interiors.
