Kite Packaging has acquired North London-based packaging distributor, Brooks Packaging, as part of its efforts to expand operations in the region.
Established in 1967 by Jeffrey Horwood, Brooks Packaging supplies archive boxes to the customers.
Brooks Packaging generates revenues of around £4.5m per annum.
Kite Packaging chairman Bruce McInnes said: “Brooks Packaging fits very well with Kite’s branch focus on major customers requiring service-and-solutions.
“Brooks Packaging will now be able to offer its large customers access to Kite’s comprehensive range of standard packaging as well as Kite’s compliance scheme.
“In addition, Kite’s technical support teams – stretch film and in-the-box solutions – will be available to Brooks Packaging to support future sales growth.”
In June this year, Kite Packaging announced that it is expanding its headquarters in Coventry, West Midlands with an investment of about £1.5m.
The investment will see the company upgrade its warehouse facilities servicing Midlands and online customers. It also includes the creation of extra capacity.
In June 2016, Kite Packaging acquired Northamptonshire-based packaging distributor, Phoenix Box.
Established in 1993, Phoenix Box is engaged in the JIT and direct line supply of corrugated cases and other packaging consumables across the UK.
In September 2015, Kite acquired Golden Valley Pallet Wrap Specialists for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition covered goodwill and certain assets of Golden Valley.
Kite supplies packaging materials ranging from corrugated cardboard boxes and packing tape to large rolls of bubble wrap and hand pallet wrap.
