Flexible and rigid packaging company Premier Tech Chronos will supply packing system OML-2040-BFH1 to Ireland-based Carbery Food Ingredients.
Carbery has invested in the new packing system as part of its larger investment in its ingredients business. The company supplied whey protein ingredients to foods, drinks and nutritional products manufacturers.
The new packaging system will have a high accuracy bottom-up filling system along with two dosing systems, compact palletiser, hygienic FIBC system and a stretch-all stretch hooding system.
High value powdered products will be packed into paper bags with block bottoms having PE inner liners and pinch top closures.
The system includes two gross dosing and fine dosing systems for dedicated product hoppers that prevent contamination of products.
An easy cleaning dosing hopper will ensure optimum clean-down between products. It will also help in removing nag top air, excess air from products and heat sealing with pinch top bag closure system.
Once the bags are filled, they will be transported by a CPL-600 palletiser with the help of a bag conveying system that will incorporate metal detection.
Premier Tech Chronos which has about 460 team members in the Americas and 270 team members in Europe and Asia sees an annual sale of C$130m.
