Henkel and CMS Technology have announced a strategic alliance in North America to develop food-safe additives for packaging.
CMS microbial-resistant technology for paper and plastic packaging is said to enhance Henkel's position in packaging adhesives, as a result of the collaboration.
Henkel paper converting, graphic arts and construction vice president Dietrich Crail said the company focuses on delivering the assurance of quality to consumers.
"This commitment extends beyond adhesives to the whole package. Our relationship with CMS is one of several steps we are taking to provide a holistic packaging solution for our customers," Crail added.
The Henkel-CMS Technology alliance is expected to develop new packaging solutions designed to ensure that food is kept safe from harmful bacteria.
Specialty chemical company CMS Technology provides solutions for food, packaging and material applications.
