Industrial packaging firm Mauser Group has introduced new plastic drum series manufactured at its recycling center in Erkelenz, Germany.
The new Infinity Series of plastic drums, designed to transport hazardous goods, has been produced using post-consumer resin (PCR) plastic materials.
The new series, which comes with full UN certification, will cover the open top drum design O-Top from 30 l up to 220 l capacity and the 220 l capacity tight head drum L-Ring PLUS.
Mauser Group Europe product group management head Axel Schaefer said the drums are available in standardized dimensions similar to packaging manufactured from virgin plastic.
"By making use of recycled materials our new drum series is more environmentally friendly and comes with lower carbon emissions than comparable packaging produced from exclusively virgin HDPE," Schaefer added.
According to the company, introduction of the new series to the European market is its latest initiative as a part of the comprehensive ECO-CYCLE sustainability initiative.
