UK-based Warburtons is all set to launch a new £1 price-marked pack for its Sandwich Pittas to make the most on sandwich alternatives sector.
Warburtons category strategy controller Martin Baptie said the Warburtons sandwich alternatives range includes pittas, which has driven overall growth, to satisfy shopper needs and growing bakery category sales, according to fdin.org.uk.
"Our new price-marked packs are designed to help retailers increase sales by ensuring a positive price perception with shoppers, giving them the confidence that they are getting good value for money during these difficult economic times," Baptie said.
The sandwich Pittas were scored down the middle to form easy-to-fill pockets and gain from a unique round format, which allows easy filling and consumption.
The white variant is available from 5 November 2012 for four weeks, and the brown variant will be launched on 30 December 2012. It is worth £207m, and is selling 212 million units.
