Italian Company Sacmi Has Unveiled The New COOL

Italian company Sacmi has unveiled the new COOL, which is expected to reduce cap cooling time and raise productivity by up to 50%.

The improved mold cooling system COOL+ is claimed to sharpen the competitive advantage of cap-making compression technology and will also cut down total cycle times considerably.

Able to be installed across the continuous compression molding (CCM) range, the COOL+ features a modified coolant liquid circulation system inside the mold which makes sure that all parts in contact with the plastic are cooled.

According to the company, the technology has been tested at industrial level over 2012 and has proved to be problem-free in terms of process stability, mold life, and side-effects on the machine.

COOL+ molds involve higher costs compared to their traditional counterparts, Sacmi said.
