Herma claims a time saving of up to 90% can be achieved .
Using Herma’s new format changing kit, setup times have been reduced to around one minute.
“This boon becomes even more significant in the case of products to which three different labels are attached, for example,” said Martin Kühl, head of Herma’s Labelling Machines division. “For, in that case, three labellers have to be retooled as well.”
A further advantage for the operator is that the Herma format changing system takes over the relevant setting parameters, rendering superfluous the often tedious task of fine-tuning the dispensing and transfer systems.
