UK-based consumer packaging company Rexam has provided its 12oz sleek cans for sodas and carbonated mixers of the US-based soda producer Q Drinks.
Q Drinks has selected Rexam cans in order to replace its regular glass bottles.
The company has introduced its seven flavors comprising Q Tonic, Q Ginger, Q Kola, Q Club, Q Lemon, Q Grapefruit and Q Orange in the new Rexam cans.
Q Drinks founder Jordan Silbert said the sodas have been available in glass bottles for years and carried by the finest restaurants and stores in America.
"But Rexam's 12 oz. Sleek cans let us offer our sodas at a lower price ($5.99 SRP for a four-pack and $1.49 for a single can) and thereby enable many more people to enjoy them. I couldn't be more excited," Silbert added.
Rexam BCNA president and CEO Rich Grimley said the Sleek can is the perfect package choice to expand consumer reach for the company's sodas.
"It delivers the best in colorful, reflective graphics that stand out on store shelves, as well as providing superior recycling, filling, distribution and retail display economics," Grimley added.
Q Drinks' 12oz cans are currently available at Wegmans, Sprouts, Fred Meyer, Big Y and Earth Fare locations in the country.
Rexam noted that Q Drinks will benefit from many advantages of aluminum cans, which include portability, durability as well as sustainability.
With a US recycling rate of 67%, aluminum cans are said to be the most recycled beverage container in the world, according to Rexam.
