TCL Packaging has developed a new packaging film for packing McDonald's chopped lettuce.
According to TCL, part of the development work involved various chemical changes and many trials of the film properties through the extrusion process in order to create a film that meets the technical requirements.
The new clear, recyclable, mono-layer PE-based material is said to have easy peel properties and runs successfully at speed without any temperature issues.
At its Telford facility, TCL handles the work pertaining to slitting of the new film.
The new film meets all the requirements of the McDonald's supply chain.
