Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited recently won an award from the National Safety Council - Maharashtra Chapter at its safety award competition. National Safety Council - Maharashtra Charter has been annually organizing this competition for last 47 years consistently for factories situated in the state and the competition aimed at increasing the safety consciousness amongst industrial establishments.
The award is given on the basis of accident free hours and reduced accident frequency rate. "The award is also an acknowledgement of our successful implementation of many Safety initiatives like avoiding accidents@Clariant program and other stringent measures taken to ensure the accident free operations. The corrective and preventive actions to reduce the hazards and increase the safe practices have contributed to achieve this milestone," said Mr. Peter Palm – VC&MD, Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited.
"In addition to spreading safety awareness among all employees, various safety training and communications programs are regularly conducted," added Mr. Puthige Murali, ESHA Head – India Region.
