Hungary-based label producer Norma has invested in nine-color Edale FL3 label and packaging printing press, in a bid to enhance its production operations.
The nine-color Edale FL3 press with UV curing will allow the label and packaging manufacturer to produce IML, self-adhesive, multi-layer and extra-large labels.
Edale press will also be used for laminates, hot-melt application and specialities.
The new FL3 press features a special 41 maximum print length for extra-large in-mould labels, second web re-insertion for multi-layer labels, high capacity hot air drying for in-mould label coating and variable length sheeting with CAM profile.
Other features of the FL3 press include full servo driven technology and UniPrint technology, which enables to deliver quality print.
Edale FL3 press, which is fully upgradeable, offers fast run speeds, quick colour changes and an ultra-short web path to reduce waste and maximize efficiency.
Norma’s managing director Gábor Rostás said: “This step up prepares us for the future. With the Edale FL3, we can achieve lower maintenence costs and reduce waste as well as quicker colour and job changes.
Edale managing director James Boughton said: ‘We are delighted to be working with Norma on this project. With a bespoke set of customer requirements, this has been another great opportunity to show off our engineering capabilities.”
In October, Edale has selected HKM Sp. Z O.O. as its distributor for the Polish market.
Edale produces narrow mid-web flexographic and digital printing presses, as well as converting equipment.
HKM will distribute Edale’s print and packaging solutions to the customers in the Polish market.
