Global Brewing Major Sabmiller Has Agreed to Expand Its Product Presence to Brazil

Global brewing major SABMiller has agreed to expand its product presence to Brazil, under a partnership with Grupo Petropolis.

Sabmiller to Enter Brazilian Beer Market

Earlier in 2012, the company terminated its operations in Brazil citing a difficult exchange rate that made importing beers inefficient, iafrica.com reported.

SABMiller claims that it reentered the Brazilian market as it has good distribution network and in-country production.

The company, along with its partner, will be capable of producing nearly two million hectoliters of beer annually over the next 10 years.

SABMiller also plans to export products to Canada, where Molson Coors will stop the distribution of SABMiller beers from April 2015.

Molson Coors' distribution agreement with SABMiller will expire in April 2015.
