DS Smith’s plastics and extruded products division has showcased its polypropylene solutions at the Empack Porto event in Portugal.
The event was scheduled between 20 and 21 September in Porto.
At the event, the company has presented polypropylene sheets, which are a lightweight and rigid extruded plastic that can be transformed into various different products.
Polypropylene sheets serve as printing material for advertising, point of sale (POS) and billboard applications.
The sheets can also be converted and customized for different requirements, including reusable or single-use packaging, trays, cases and reusable transport bulk containers.
Polypropylene sheets serve as an alternative to automotive reinforcement parts or OEMs due to its lightweight and durable qualities.
In addition, the company has showcased pick bins and reusable plastic containers for the automotive, pharma, cosmetics, graphics, retail and other industries.

The plastics division offers flexible Packaging solutions and rigid packaging solutions for the beverage market, as well as advanced packaging and component solutions for the automotive market.
In addition, the unit offers rigid and semi-rigid packaging solutions such as polypropylene and expanded polystyrene (EPS) solutions for the pharmaceutical market.
