DRAM Modules Accounted for 58.48% of Adata's Consolidated Sales in January 2014

Consolidated revenues at memory module manufacturer Adata Technology slipped 4.1% sequentially to NT$2.775 billion (US$91.6 million) in January 2014. On an annual basis, however, sales grew 4.7%.

DRAM modules accounted for 58.48% of Adata's consolidated sales in January 2014, while NAND flash and other products made up the remainder.

Adata expects prices for PC DRAM to be stable during the first quarter of 2014, and has expressed optimism about the price outlook for the rest of the year citing a limited supply of the chips.

As for NAND flash, prices will continue to fluctuate due to new capacity concerns, Adata indicated.

In addition, Adata noted that its LED lighting business is expected to see significant growth in 2014. The new product segment will make a positive contribution to profitability, it added.
