German packaging machinery provider Oystar will provide equipment to Chinese food company Want Want, as part of a contract.
Initially, the company will deliver two model EF 320 form, fill and seal machines from Oystar Erca to Shanghai in June 2013. Each of the machines will produce 20,000 yoghurt cups per hour at the Want Want site.
Want Want will start up a Flexline FL 8/8 CA in July 2013, from Oystar Hamba in the aseptic configuration, which will fill and seal 115ml cups with pudding.
Want Want, which generated a total of $3bn in sales in 2011, manufactures rice cracks worldwide and flavored milk in China.
