Asda Is Recalling a Batch of Caramel Bites as It Contains Peanuts

UK-based supermarket chain Asda is recalling a batch of Caramel Bites as it contains peanuts,which is not mentioned on the ingredients list on the packaging,according to the Food Standards Agency(FSA).

The agency has issued an allergy alert and has asked customers who are allergic to peanuts to not consume the product.

The product subjected to the recall is Asda 14 Caramel Bites,280g pack,with best before date of 14 September 2013,belonging to number:L523732.

Asda is recalling the product from sale and plans to contact the relevant allergy support organizations,to inform the customers who are allergic to peanuts.According to the company,no other Asda products have been affected.Customers who have bought the product can return it in a nearest Asda store for a full refund.
