DS Smith’s business unit Worldwide Dispensers Europe has developed a new screw cap adapter for bag-in-box packaging with an external tamper evident ring.
The new screw cap adapter has been developed to replace previous system with an inner pull-off membrane.
Available in different types of plastics dispensing glands, the tamper evident screw cap adapter is designed to suit for all bag-in-box formats and can be used with different types of plastics dispensing glands.
The external tamper evident ring can be seen from all angles, offering direct permanent evidence of initial opening.
Existing type of Bag-in-Box pull out screw cap adapters end up with a loose ring in the operator’s hand, which provide a risk of falling off into the product itself rather than being placed into the trash.
The ring is retained on the fitment to prevent any risk of product contamination in the new screw cap adapter for bag-in-box.
Worldwide Dispensers’ new screw cap adapter also provides better tightness due to the improved mechanism of the adapter.
The adapter, which and complies with the requirements of the food packaging regulations of EU and the US, is tested for liquid food and industrial applications
In addition, the outer shell of the tap is designed to help in better opening and easy resealing.
