Mondi, an international packaging and paper manufacturer, has introduced new BIO TOP 3 80 g/m2 paper in a CO2 neutral version.
Said to enhance the paper's environmental credentials, the latest version is now offered by TCF brand.
BIO TOP 3 was initially developed in 1989 in Mondi Neusiedler as officer paper and as a hybrid paper for offset printing later on.
The new version can also be used in high-speed inkjet applications, according to the company.
Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper marketing and sales director Johannes Klumpp said, "In the meantime we believe it is not a shade but an attitude - towards more: More versatility for different applications, more environmental requirements, better colour reproduction and more impact with printed products."
EU Ecolabel and Austrian Environmental Label have also certified the BIO TOP 3. It is suitable for digital, preprint and offset applications also holds Mondi's Green Range label for sustainably produced products.
Mondi's BIO TOP 3 LOOKBOOK introduced in 2013 can be used for premium catalogues, corporate design and sustainability reports and premium books.
As the company's new paper is produced completely chlorine free without using any optical brightening agents (OBAs), it retains a natural uncoated feel and features an off-white shade.
Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper, which is a business unit of Mondi's Europe & International Division produces sustainable office and professional printing papers from its four paper mills located in Austria, Slovakia, Russia and South Africa.
