Packaging Coordinators (PCI) has completed the planned expansion of its packaging facilities in Rockford, Illinois, US.
The company undertook the facilities expansion in Rockford in order to accommodate continued business development in contract packaging services.
PCI has added 20,000ft2 at the site to expand secondary and tertiary packaging operations.
The expansion is said to increase the company's operations such as cartoning, overwrapping, heat seal carding and compliance prompting packaging.
PCI's additional production capacity also supports packaging for biotech delivery forms such as secondary packaging for injectable vials, syringes, devices, and transdermal products.
PCI president and chief executive officer Bill Mitchell said the company proposes to provide an unparalleled customer experience with clinical and commercial services.
"The facilities expansion we have undertaken in Rockford is the latest in a series of investments we have made to enable continued growth and at the same time continue to provide our customers the extraordinary service they have come to expect from PCI," Mitchell added.
