Color Label, a Denmark-based label converter, has ordered a refurbished Nilpeter FA-2500 flexo press for installation at its facility in Aarhus, Denmark.
Established in 1980, the Color Label is engaged in supplying self-adhesive labels for the food industry and the chemical industry.
The new press will complement the existing nine presses purchased by the firm earlier from Nilpeter. It brings the total number of 250 mm wide presses purchased by Color Label to eight.
Color Label owner and CEO Erik Grønning said: “Nilpeter is the Mercedes of label printing presses, and we have never considered investing in anything else.
“The latest addition to our production floor is not considered a used press. The refurbishment job done by Nilpeter UK is remarkable. It is really as good as new.”
Color Label also operates two Nilpeter FA-4200 sleeve-based servo presses which are designed to run a wide range of tasks ranging from classic labels to film, flexible packaging, and carton.
The machines are designed to print films down to 15 micron and cardboard up to 350g.
Grønning added: “With Color Label’s production setup, it makes perfectly sense for us to have an even number of presses.
“That way we eliminate the risk of bottlenecks and we are fully flexible: All tasks can be run on all machines.”
Nilpeter’s FA2500 used flexo press comprises 8 colors, 2 die stations, water base, 1 UV, Turn Bar, 2 Die;1 Die location for sheeter, Film Lam. It has a web width of 10in.
