Tokyo District Court Issued a Provisional Injunction Order Enjoining

Tokyo District Court issued a provisional injunction order enjoining , Tsannkuen Japan (Sankun Nihon Denki Kabushiki Kaisha, here after "Tsann Kuen"), a subsidiary of a Taiwanese company, from infringing Nichia's patent. The infringed patent is one of Nichia's patents concerning the technology of combining photo-luminescent material with blue LED. According to the Nichia, the patent is employed in many white LED products that combine photo-luminescent material with blue LED. The court found that the LED light bulbs manufactured by Tsann Kuen infringe upon Nichia's patent, and the import, sale, etc. of such products were enjoined by the order. Following this order, Nichia plans to bring a claim for damages for past infringements. Nichia says that this order publicly recognized the rightfulness of Nichia's assertion through judicial proceeding. Source: www.sslighting.net
