Axon, a Pro Mach brand is all set to introduce a Category 3 safety-interlock system for the ThermoPoint steam heat tunnel. The system ensures that a ‘door open’ condition stops the flow of live steam in the tunnel immediately during operation.
Axon sales vice president George Albrecht said customers will find the Category 3 safety-interlock system as the ideal addition to the ThermoPoint steam-heat-shrink tunnel in terms of ensuring operator safety on the packaging line.
ThermoPoint, Axon's solution for a quality shrink process for labels and tamper evident bands, is easy to use and maintain and also minimizes downtime by aiding fast changeover between products.
According to the company, ThermoPoint is available in three or six zone configurations and each of the tunnel's heat zones can be adjusted independently to deliver steam to the label or band at various rates, heights and angles.
Heat zone graduated dials and steam injector adjustment indicators enable precise control of the process and also guarantee repeatability between batches.
