Indian automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the new version of its Alto model, Alto 800.
The new Alto will be available in both petrol and CNG options, which offers an improved fuel efficiency of 15% and 13% respectively.
Alto 800's petrol variant will be powered by F8D 796cc engine that produces 48bhp and 69Nm of torque, delivering a mileage of 22.74kmpl.
The CNG variant will feature an Intelligent Gas Port Injection (i-GPI) kit and is expected to deliver a mileage of 30.64kmpl.
Alto 800 will be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki's Gurgaon facility and will be available in three petrol variants and three factory fitted CNG variants.
Maruti Suzuki India managing director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi said the new Alto 800 has refined driveability combined with superior fuel efficiency of 22.74kmpl.
"The availability of CNG variants adds to Alto 800's attraction," Nakanishi said.
