Carl Ostermann Erben (COE) has launched a new web-based print data management solution to give customers options for data exchange, approval process and data archiving.
Dubbed coe center, the solution is claimed to deliver more transparent and faster approval processes in the manufacture of printing plates for labels and packaging.
The coe center print data management solution will be showcased by COE during the Labelexpo trade fair in Brussels, Belgium in late September.
COE business development manager Michael Halfar said: “Over the past years, we’ve observed a trend in our industry towards automated processes that reduce the time spent preparing the manufacture of printing plates.
“With the coe center, we are providing a platform that greatly simplifies the processes, first and foremost in terms of data management.”
According to COE, the approval process is completely transparent as the solution shows all the steps live. The coe center is claimed to accelerate the approval process by 25% compared to previous processes.
A professional viewer feature enables customers to either view, comment or modify on the designs created.
The clear layout coupled with the fast document retrieval of the coe center helps customers to find past print jobs in a flash before reusing them.
Branded companies could find the solution to be ideal as per COE as it saves time and reduces errors by automating workflows.
Coe center has gone through a comprehensive testing phase successfully as per the German company and is already being deployed by some of its customers for their daily design work.
With a couple of facilities in Bremen and Stuttgart in Germany, COE produces printing plates primarily for flexographic and letterpress printing.
