Packaging machinery manufacturer in the US, Standard-Knapp has announced the launch of the new 396 Positron Case Packer, which comes equipped with an overhead flight grouper that provides product control and bottle packing.
The new case packer has been designed for smoother packing of carbonated, non-carbonated and hot filled PET bottles into corrugated trays or plastic shells. It handles different bottle styles and offers a quick changeover, packagingeurope.com reported.
Gentle product handling is possible with the machine's continuous motion and maintenance is reduced with its stainless steel frame, shafts and hardware.
Smooth product flow is guaranteed with the PLC-controlled variable frequency drives, which adjust automatically to changing line speeds.
The Positron, which can process speeds of up to 60 trays per minute, is powered by two one-horsepower motors.
