Atlanta Botanical Garden Made Forbes' List for Top Ten Most Dazzling Light Displays
Lighting Science Group Corporation®, congratulates the Atlanta Botanical Garden for being recognized on the Forbes list of "ten most dazzling light displays in the world."
For the second year, Lighting Science® partnered with the Atlanta Botanical Garden's seasonal lighting exhibit, "Garden Lights, Holiday Nights," which features uniquely custom designed, color-changing orbs.
"We were absolutely thrilled to be named to Forbes' list," said Mary Pat Matheson, executive director for Atlantic Botanical Garden. "This year's show is bigger and brighter than ever, and it seems that the careful planning and hard work are paying off. The response from the public has been phenomenal!"
Forbes magazine stated: "More than 1 million lights cover the 30-plus acres of the Atlanta Botanical Garden this holiday season during 'Garden Lights, Holiday Nights.' Dazzling walking exhibitions include the Starry Night Walk, which is inspired by Van Gogh's famous painting, and Liquid Lights, a dramatic lighting effects display in the Cascades Garden."
Designed in collaboration with Tres Fromme, landscape designer, each of the Lighting Science LED luminaires uses a mere 10 watts of energy while boasting the capacity to cast over 16 million distinctive color shades. The LED fixtures also include integrated sound sensitivity capabilities, which sync the bulbs with a musical soundtrack to create a sensation of a "choreographed" dance routine.
"We congratulate the great team at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for their creativity and expertise in being recognized as one of the world's most dazzling light displays by Forbes," said Keith Scott, chief commercial officer of Lighting Science. "This holiday season, Lighting Science is proud to provide the lighting technology behind the Atlanta Botanical Garden's interactive exhibition."
