UK master papermaker James Cropper is showcasing Genuine UK Black paper in China at LuxePack Shanghai.
The new paper can be used in a range of applications, including luxury goods, packaging, printing, advertising brochures and annual reports.
Designed specifically for the Chinese market, the non-carbon and deep black paper offers high rub resistance and the color is bleed-fast.
James Cropper is supplying the new paper to the customers from its warehouse in Shenzen.
The firm is also offering its existing Carvetian Suede range of papers, which provide luxurious look and feel of suede in paper form.
It will also exhibit its first range of food contact-approved papers, Dolcelicious, at the event.
James Cropper Asia regional manager Maurice Tsang said: “With Genuine UK Black, we’ve harnessed technology, science and skill to create a unique black paper with a strong environmental pedigree.
“Matching dyes, pigments and fibres, we’ve created a paper that, being non-carbon, lends itself perfectly to creative work incorporating metallic foil printing.
“We’re delighted to be bringing to market both a brand new product in Genuine UK Black and what’s already become a popular choice among luxury packaging designers, Carvetian Suede.”
