The deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region and analyzed the current system of waste collection. According to the head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Yuri Marchenko, currently operating normally be considered extremely dangerous system of collecting waste from businesses and organizations of the region and the system of collection of biological waste. Thus the organization of collection of hazardous waste from households (fluorescent lamps, batteries and accumulators, from the breakdown of domestic appliances, waste vehicles) while only being debugged, and bio-waste collection system has not yet reached the area of small settlements, says the press service of the Legislative Assembly.
The first steps are being made in the organization of separate collection. The situation with the collection of glass shows how much we are lagging behind. If in 90 years in the area was more than 700 collection points for glass, but now they are not more than 30. However, there have been significant changes here. According to the director of "Tiger-Siberia" Cyril Ryterman, in 2012, the company has implemented a number of pilot projects for the separate collection of glass.
In the near future together with "Baltika" the company is planning a new large-scale project to introduce separate collection of glass waste. "Baltika" investing in the purchase of containers and public service announcements, and OOO "Tiger-Siberia" project provides production facilities, transport, washing, crushing, and other special equipment. Partially funded by the authorities of investment costs for the year will be collected 320m ³ of waste glass - such figure estimated annual volume of waste glass in the area.
The deputies decided to support the project. The Committee invited the Government to increase the total amount of financing long-term target program "Development of a waste management system of production and consumption in the Novosibirsk region for 2012-2016" and the additional funds for the organization in the field of selective collection of municipal solid waste, including the collection of glass.
