Fiber-based packaging solutions manufacturer Evergreen Packaging has developed a new carton, SmartPak, to meet the increasing demand for different sizes in the market.
The SmartPak Cartons has been launched in a new cross-section with 40 ounce, 48 ounce, 52 ounce and 59 ounce size options. It provides benefits in the areas of branding, sustainability, transportation and storage efficiencies.
Evergreen Packaging said that the new carton has been designed to provide shelf space optimization, product differentiation and distribution efficiency.
Evergreen Packaging sales Greg Otto vice-president said: "We are committed to being a resourceful partner to our clients by introducing new products like SmartPak Cartons that benefit processors, retailers and consumers alike."
Designed to help protect the product's flavor, nutrients, and vitamins, the new carton is a part of the firm's FreshHouse line of cartons which are designed to offer improved renewability, recyclability and reliability.
Evergreen Packaging develops cartons with over 70% paper, which comes from a renewable resource, primarily tree. The FreshHouse cartons are recyclable for over 58% of US households.
Featuring sleek design for optimized space on the existing retail shelf, the SmartPak Cartons are expected to help increase product portfolios and product differentiation.
Evergreen Packaging said its certain half gallon filling machines allows the flexibility to change between any of the four sizes while offering one-time conversion for processors.
